It's a great recipe for when you are needing to add an immense amount of fat and chocolate to your day. Works great for PMS but I wouldn't suggest eating the entire cake to cure it. It's my Aunt Syndey's recipe. She always started every thing she cooked with a stick of butter. Set oven at 400°
1 stick Oleo (butter) Bring to a boil--set aside
2 cups flour pour into wet ingredients into flour mixture. Add:
1/2 buttermilk Back in a 10"x13" cake pan for 25 minutes Icing: (yes, and it's just a rich as the cake)
1 stick oleo (butter) Mix well and spread on hot, warm, or cooled cake. You can also sprinkle the nuts, coconut, or powdered sugar on top. For a holiday feel, spread sprinkles or crushed peppermint candies or Andes Mints on top.
